As a 38-year Investment professional and having served in other non-profit roles, I know there are no more important factors in breaking the cycle of poverty than investing in education and kids. Solving food insecurity is the critical bridge to learning that must be created to help all children have an equal opportunity to learn and be the "best version of themselves". We as a society have an obligation to ensure that, because investing in kids and education ultimately benefits us as all as a society and it is the right thing to do!

‘No child should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Backpack Programs around the state work hard to make sure kids facing weekend food insecurity have food to take home with them when they leave school. I am proud we are able to donate enough beef sticks so that every program can include a healthy snack with 8 grams of protein in every bag they distribute. We couldn’t do this without the amazing support of my peers in the Colorado livestock and agriculture industry!’
